Back in 1975, four decades ago, Hanwells was founded. The goal then was exactly the same as it is today, client satisfaction. Re-supplying pre-owned Bentley and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars to a very select clientele.

The business soon prospered into a successful premier car dealership, with many choosing to return time and time again over the years to renew and upgrade their vehicles. During recent years, Hanwells came to realise that there were many people who, whilst in love with these magnificent automobiles, did not need to actually own one or perhaps simply needed one when a long way from home.

There are even those who simply wish to try another Bentley or Rolls-Royce model. Therefore the only solution to this occasional requirement was to introduce self drive hire.

Frustrated by the more traditional car rental organisations to make these particular automobiles available for self drive hire, we at Hanwells decided to address the problem, but of course in our own inimitable style.

Thus there was the creation of this, the United Kingdom's only periodic self drive Rolls-Royce hire specialists backed by what the – Mail on Sunday – claimed to be 'The biggest outlet of second-hand Rolls-Royce and Bentleys in the Country'. Reliability, efficiency and courtesy are the existing hallmarks of dealing with Hanwells and the self drive hire business is no exception.
